Camshaft position sensor question....

Be patient with me, for I am a diesel rookie!

www.fordpartsonline.com has a part they call a camshaft position sensor they sell for $19.23. What is the difference between that part and the $100+ part I keep reading about on here?

The cheaper part is not for a diesel engine, it's for a gas engine. If you want a CMP sensor, buy one at International for around $80-90.

Camshaft position sensor question....

OK....I THOUGHT I had clicked on "Diesel Controls" before I clicked on "Powertrain Controls", but it's a totally different sub-category. Dadgummit, johnsdiesel, I was beginning to get excited about saving a little money here.........
