boost question
I have a 1996 f-250 all stock except down pipe and the 6673 filter. I think i might have a boost problem when i am driving on the highway unloaded my boost is 2psi and sometimes just under is that a normal boost on these trucks or low? Even unloaded on a hill it will smoke a little black and towing it smokes black just a little even on flat. I unplugged the sensor and i dont see any change in the psi its still reads 2 psi down the highway.

Thats what i have been thinking just wanted to make sure it was on the low side before digging to much. I think my injector o rings are going as well.

The exhaust side look for formations of soot around the exhaust manifolds, uppipes, and collector gasket. The pressure side pull the intake Y and inspect the o-ring and boots going to to plenums.
He said he has see 10 psi with a heavy load so didn't really feel that it was the gauge but anything is possible.
