the spring that came in my truck were 18 inches long, dont know if thats from a 4x4 or a PSD..any way i got some 250 diesel springs, measure in at 13.25 inches, and slightly thicker coil diameter.
now-what size nut and bolt holds the radius arm to the I beam?? its not 28 mm, (too big), 1-1/8 too big, 1-1/16 too small....so WTF? 27 will probably be too smal...
that bolt is on there ****ing tight, i tried the 28 wrench to the point where it was almost stripping, had quite a bit of force on there, linked two wrenches together had 2 feet of leverage. i got the one old spring of without removing the cup, but i cant get the new one on without removing the cup, and i cant remove the cup without removing that damn nut, which i think is probably locktite as well. I only have a lil propane torch, no oxy available
It's been over a year since I messed with it, but it I remember correctly it is a 1 1/16 or 1 1/8, defibetly a standard nut though. That sucker is tight thoughx I had to use a torch to heat it to get it off, and a lot of PB in between. Can't help you with the difference in the springs, good luck though
1-1/8 is just way too massive..but 1-1/16 is just too small.. theyres no rust or gunk around em either..
i only had 1-1/16 box end wrench..ill grab a 6 pt socket and hammer it on that bitch tomorrow and see
