Question 2002 Escape 3.0 V6 Fuel Injectors?

I'm replaceing FI "O" rings & wanted some info on how best to install to engine.

I pulled all injectors all at one time with the fuel rail, as per my Chilton manual. But, to me way of thinking, I wonder if it would be better to install each one into the block & then to the fuel rail??

To you every day mechanics, How would you do it?

Mahalo for any advise!
Rich

PS: I just thought of another question I would like answered:

On any of these Ford engines that gaskets are more of an "O" ring than the old standards,
Would you use any type of silicone hi temp stuff on these gaskets?

I've had this vehicle for about 2 months and seeing all this orange stuff squeezing out from every joint just doesn't seem right?

Thanks!

I'd say to install the FI into the fuel rail first so you can see the holes that you to line up. The other way they'd be hard to see.

Ordinary engine oil is alright for any "O" ring, FI ones also.

I have no idea what the orange stuff is. Maybe somebody else knows.

Thanks Bill. My fault, on the orange stuff & should have not mentioned it while asking about the FI "O" rings. I was referring to the rubberized gaskets on intake manifolds (upper & lower). Sorry!
