changing fuel injectors/questions

Hello, changing my fuel injectors on my 1993 5.0L M5OD and wanted to ask if I should also change the fuel line o-rings as long as I am there. There are two of them on the main input line and cannot remember if any for the Fuel Pressure Reg. line? Probally get them at Ford Dealer only item? I know dumb question, as I would try to get them anyhow, but perhaps is a regular thing or could re-use?

I have remanufactured ones (all 8) comming in the mail now, hopefully here by weekend. Also going to change upper intake manifold gasket too.
Anything else or suggestions while I am there?

Thanks., DAJ.

Make sure you depressurize the fuel system before going to work.

You can get those o-rings at ford I guess, but it'll probably cost you a bunch. I didn't bother replacing them on mine.

Yea thanks Mustang, I already have relieved the pressure from the Schrader valve on the driver side fuel rail, pretty easy and nice setup they have.

I think I will just forget about the fuel line o-rings, It was the first time taken apart/broken open, and felt really tight and sealed when I took it off. They should be fine, I will put dab of oil on them.

I will also replace the Regulator while Im in there, Picked one up from Ford $61.24 yesterday, Might as well. Plan on driving this thing for Ice Fishing for many years yet.

My dealers are either dumb or don't care. I replaced all my injector o-rings and fuel line o-rings last year and had a tough time getting the right size o-rings. I hope you are have better luck.

Don't be surprised if any injector or fuel line coupling is very hard to pull apart. The orings are hard and get stuck inside the couplings, I guess it is because of dryed fuel(varnish). I almost ripped my knuckles to shreds getting the two basic spring lock couplings apart at the top of the fuel rail of my straight six.
PS I would disable the fuel pumps, via the fuse or inertia switch and pop open the gas caps while working the fuel lines, as air temp changes, expanding gas vapors in the system may cause a little pressure.

I had a little trouble getting the injectors off my 302, but wiggling them around and pulling/playing with them got them out.
