I just recently got an Excursion so I just started posting on this forum, Im mainly on/from the 6.0 side with my 05 F250 and I came across a post on here the other day about the scanguage 2. I have one in my 6.0 and I had made a dash mount for it that several from the 6.0 board commented on and so I made more and sold out. I have since made about a dozen more and since there are Ex users using the scanguage I thought I would mention it to you guys. Here are a couple of pics. They are made from a plastic type material that we use at work to make patterns and core boxes for our foundry. It is called renshape redboard and is very durable. I paint them black since the material is red. Now keep in mind that I have them made to use the rear jack on the guage and the mount is secured to the dash via 2 screws. I drilled a hole to feed the cable through for a clean install since I didnt want any wires showing. Again I just thought I would mention them in case someone wanted to get away from the normal velcro way of mounting. If anyone is interested hit me up with a pm for details.
Mark,
Thanks for sharing this with us! (Reps sent!) Welcome to this forum, lotsa good people here. Love your screen name, btw.
Wondered if you have any pics of one mounted in an Excursion? The top of an Ex dash has contours different from your truck and I'm not sure how this would attach.
TIA,
Karl

Reason: Forgot something
In the Ex I have it mounted on the flat area just under the headlight switch. I will have to take some photos of that and post.
That'd be great. Thanks bro! Looking forward to it.
Also had the thought that there is a flat edge just above the vents, but it would only accommodate screws at the bottom of the box you created. Not sure it'd work. Anyways, definitely post that up so we can see.
