Couple pics of the Scangauge mount I made

Nothing fancy, just a single piece of sheet steel that I bent and curved to match the dash contours. Scangauge is velcro'd in now, but I am making a piece of Lexan that the gauge will slide into and click into place.

Enjoy!

Yes it is. Screwed through the floorboard then clear lacquer paint over the spot where the bolt pokes through on the underside. Will be there forever if I want it to. Exact location I've put my Maglites in all of my trucks and cars for 20 years now. Never a problem.

Oh you won't be stealing it from me... before all the rechargeable flashlights and their cradles became popular, Maglites were screwed down to the floors of many police cars.

I just got used to it being "right there" to grab on my way out of the car.

One thing I should mention to you and Crunk (and anyone else who wants to mount a light like that)...

The floorboard is not level at that point next to the seat. There are "curves" that have to be mitigated. I used washers under the mounts with longer bolts to "level" them out with each other. If you don't do this, the light will be at an angle just enough that you will crack the mounts after putting the light in and out several times. Ask how I know....

Good luck!

James
