Welcome AJ,
Never hurts to have a female gearhead around to help keep things a bit more civilized. Don't pay to much attention to some of these guys, they come out from their caves from time to time, but often do have some really good info on these old trucks.

And here I thought you were a respectable kind of kid.......
AJ: Im thinking its more of a courtesy light type of thing. More pics would help us better determine what it is you need help figuring out. Does it light up when the doors are opened, when the running lights or headlights are on or maybe even when you turn on the interior cab light?
Ctubutis: If I didnt like ya I wouldn't pick at ya. Besides, I'm not one for wild game, ie chettah
The light seems to stay on all the time. I'll do some investigating and get some more pics up later.....stay tuned.
It doesn't look factory to me. To my knowledge, no lights were ever mounted there on the transmission tunnel, much less one that stays on all the time.
Looks to me like maybe some bubba tried to pimp his ride with some lights?
