They are Ford parts. I found this on another forum:
"I have a GRAND TOTAL of =
$1420 Counting EVERYTHING.
Here's a parts list with RETAIL pricing. Obviously most of us can get a discount/buy online/etc
1 - DL3Z-13008-BB HEADLAMP ASSY 667.15 EA (Sterling Grey RAPTOR/SVT edition headlamp - NOT FX4)
1 - DL3Z-13008-CB HEADLAMP ASSY 667.15 EA (Sterling Grey RAPTOR/SVT edition headlamp - NOT FX4)
2 - 4S4Z-13N019-AA BOOTS 7.15 EA
8 - W715133 S900 SCREW 1.00 EA (Mount the ballast to headlamp)
4 - W715680 S437 SCREW 1.00 EA (Mount the bulb retainer to projector)
2 - D3S BULBS - I bought Genuine Philips bulbs online for $64 ea. DO NOT BUY BULBS FROM DEALER - $300++ EA
2 - BALLASTS - I bought OE Osram ballasts used off of Ebay. Once again, $300+ ea from dealer. I bought from this seller: SLIM OEM! 09-12 Lincoln / Ford / Osram Xenon D3S D3R HID BALLASTS KIT SET | eBay
That is the EXACT style ballast you need. Notice it also comes with the ballast to bulb cable. If you do not find an auction with a cable, you will have to buy those from Ford. They were about $35 ea if so. Mine came with the ballasts. The cable did have a 90 degree bend in the end that connects to the bulb. I had to bend that to about a 45 degree because the 90 wanted to hit the projector.
The only part that is needed that is NOT available yet is the headlight bulb retainer. There are two screws on the projector to secure the bulb. The retainer is on national backorder. I made a retainer out of muffler strapping. It will be temporary only. Once the retainer is available, I will change it out. I basically made an upside down "U" and screwed each side and let the strap wrap around the big square base of the bulb.
Now - for anyone wanting to open these heads up and paint - its silly to buy the Raptor versions. The chrome ones I have are exactly the same - just chrome. They only retail for $596.75 ea. So anotherwords, you can buy a chrome set of HIDs for $140 less. The part number for the chrome headlamps is:
DL3Z-13008-AB
DL3Z-13008-AC"
Pricing on eBay is already down to $999 for a kit including a wiring harness. And thats still using the OEM housings, once the aftermarket kicks up with some of these, this is going to get a lot cheaper. I plan to do it to mine if I keep the truck long enough.
That is ridiculously overpriced. You are much better of retro'ing in a set of GOOD projectors into your existing headlight housings. Then all you need are a pair of ballasts which are not expensive at all.
I have the projector lights in my 2013 F150 and if someone converts their old lights to projector, will the high / low beams work? On my truck, the difference between high and low is the "eyelid" that lowers when low beams are called for. What controls the eyelid that flips up and down ?
Looking at adding some projector headlights to my 2010 F-150. Sorry if this is a stupid question but how do I know if my truck currently has the DRL lights?
