Weathertech Floor mats fit?
Weathertech Floor mats fit?
On my 98' F150 4x4 SC with a floor 4x4 manual shift, Weathertech make a "Floorliner" that is digitally made to fit exactly, but only offers them for non-floor shift models.
Can that dash shifting model be heated up with a heat gun or other method to make it conform to the slight bulge around the floor shift to make it fit correctly? Has anyone ever done this before or found another method to make it work while still fitting perfectly.
My concern is the salt that comes (melts) off winter boots and soaks into the floor (carpet) around my standard floor mats rusting out the floor prematurely and I need the high side of the mat to contain the melting snow/salt solution in the mat for disposal and cleaning outside the truck.
I want it to work without cutting to remain water proof yet still fit like it should have been made to. Also the passenger side says to remove factory jack to install that "Floor liner" Has it been done you guys? They cost $120.00 or so and I wouldn't want to mess up a set and be stuck with it.
