2003 5.4 MOTOR
Hey guys i been on FTE for afew years but mostly on the 48/56 forum. I have a 2003 fx4 with a 5.4 triton motor and it has DIED. I talked to my local ford dealership about a new long block and they want over 5k for a long block and installing it. I found a company online [POWERTRAIN PRODUCTS] were i can get a long block cheaper and let the ford dealer install it for about 800 less. Has anyone ever had any dealings with POWERTRAIN ???? I sure miss my fx4 !!!! Heres a pic. Any help would be great.

My best suggestion would be "AER". They have the most highly technological methods of remanufacturing engines in the industry. They use a MORSE-SEKI machine that no one in the US can match for accuracy and tolerance specification. Remember, A truly remanufactured engine is much better than a rebuilt one! They will be my choice when mine meets it's demise, hopefully not until I'm up in the 300,000+ mile range or further.
I have personally toured there facility and it is nothing short of magnificent!
