I wrote to Connor when I saw his recovered dashes, we e-mailed back in forth regarding door panels and he came up with an idea for a style to suit my truck. Because shipping is painful across the border it was easier for Connor to start with Dennis Carpenter seconds, he bought a set and covered and customized them. I finally had a chance to get my doors ready for the install:
The truck is in flat black but the interior was still blue so I had to strip the door and prep it for paint. This also gave me a chance to change the worn out rattle stips and felt.
Once done the inside of the doors were sprayed with rust check and lubed the regulators. The new panels got proper door clips and installed some custom door cranks I found on flea bay. A quick shot of protectant on the vinyl and the doors are done.
Connor is great to work with and does quality work, stay posted because soon I'll have his covered dash installed also
Thanks. Wish I could have done them without any of that wrinkling by the armrests, but letting me do those for you helped me learn a lot. If I do anymore I know how to get rid of that. Overall pretty nice for a first set. They look great on your truck! Cant wait for the dash!
Looks really nice, I like that flat black int. alot more that I thought I would. I am thinking I might like my entire truck to be Blitz blk. What were the panels covered with? Did you get the OEM style clips, the wire ones?
Connor can better answer about the material used, for clips the OEM style plastic clips were used. Connor supplied a set and I had also ordered some from Bronco Graveyard in case one or two vanished (funny how that happens when you only have the exact amount)
