need new tranny?
Have 95 5.8 eith e40d tranny. Tranny7 seemed to do fine parked it then wont move. feels like you can feeel gears going enguaging but no movement. Then when go to put in park its grinds terribly. Can I put any e4od tranny back in or is it a simplier problem. Recently rebuilt the engine with A LITTLE HELP FROM FTE. aLL INSITE APPRECIATED

Check your axles, make sure they aren't stripped. I had a old 74 model ford once & I drove it home & parked it. When I got back in it, it wouldn't move. I got out with it still in gear & noticed the driveshaft spinning around. Somehow the ring gear sheared off a few teeth & I happened to park it right where they were missing.
