Scanguage not connecting

Scanguage not connecting

I bought a Scanguage 2 yesterday. It will not connect to my truck, a 2006 F350. I followed the troubleshooting guide in the manual and it did it did not work. Anyone else have this issue that could help me out prior to calling the company?

Check to see if your cigarette lighter works. I believe that the lighter has the same fuse as the OBD2 connector.

Easy fix, I hope.

There seems to be a fairly high failure rate on them. I had problems getting mine to connect when I bought it. I called Scangauge and they FedEx'd me a replacement. It worked perfect. Their customer service is top notch.

Thanks for the replies. I will check the fuse and see what happens. I that does not work I will be calling them in the morning.

Make sure the cable clicks all the way in.

i also had the same issue, mine ended up being a bad plug on the cable. wiggled it around and it worked. I ended up just pushing the wires a lil further into the plug and its been working ever since.

I also have mine with a coupler and a spare cat5e i had laying around attached to it. Seemed to actually help it, hasn't had any issues since i added the cable.
