I remember when me my grand pa and my great uncle,( his brother) went fishing in the spillway off of Belle River in Pierre Part Lousiana, we where fishing for about six hours, I think my granpa got his line hit once, that was all nothing else all day, but it was a good trip we had fun...so we got home thoughtout the fish from the last trip....but it was a good day. you don't have to catch anything. or you can catch everything......including ticks.....but you will have a great time, no matter how burnt or sick you end up form a full day in the sun with all that alchohol

Mississippi is a long ways from Montana otherwise i'd take you on an awesome trip. The place is called Mystic lake in the beartooth mountains. The other one is Jahnke lake in the Big Hole valley, thats the only place you can catch cutthroats, rainbows, goldens, brookies and cuttbows.
I wouldn't eat a gar if you paid me. In Louisana, though, they love'em. Here in Southern Missouri, I go out and shoot them with a bowfishing rig. I sometimes clean the big ones for a buddy. You have to take an iron pipe and beat the devil out of them to break the hide from the skin. I then use a pair of tin snips to cut him open to remove the meat. Next to skinning varmits, they are the stinkingest critter I have came across. To each, his own.
