Hey guys. My windows are going down slower, and I've heard people talking about greasing up the tracks, but I don't know what to use. Is there something in particular that I should use?
I'd be more inclined to use powdered graphite. It will likely embed in the tracks and it doesn't draw dirt and make a paste. If I'm wrong on this, you can always try a wet lube - but you can't un-oil the track if you try that first.
The motor might be getting weak. If lubing doesn't square it away, you might need to take the motor out and see if the brushes can be replaced (I doubt it). When replacing small DC motors, I always try electric motor shops before I go to the stealership.
