Isramek1, I did have to trim both tabs off to make the dash pod fit my 2012. If yours works/fits without trimming, I'd go with it.

Picked up my new 6.7 SD last week. Having an awesome time driving it. I know, I will post a picture when I get it washed up. I am looking at purchasing an Edge insight CTS, what information does it tell you? The factory web is very vague other than it fits anything newer than 96. Do I need to hook up /purchase other sensors like EGT? Does the dash mount look seamless in a 2012?

Thanks,
Dave

Kicker, The Edge Insight will display any of the PIDs that your trucks computer tracks, That is about 40 different PIDs to choose from. I found most didn't mean much to me. But Voltage, EGT 11-14, Soot %, Engine Coolant temp etc were stuff I had an interest in.

The display is configurable from 3 to 8 displays and you choose what goes in each display from the list of PIDs in the PCM.

The truck has 4 Pyro sensors in the exhaust stream. But none of them are pre-turbo. In fact EGT11 is 3-4 feet downstream and just in front of the cat. If you want true pre-turbo temps, You will need to install a sensor for that.

where do you install a sensor for it? If we are going to monitor post turbo, what should the EGT limit be? Meaning, how high is too high?

Stock truck won't get too high. PCM will defuel if you approach the limit Ford programed in. I suggest you watch you guages as you drive in stock form and get used to what normal temps are. Then IF you tune the truck, You can watch for excessive temps.

Mine normally won't exceed around 900°-950° with normal towing, During regen I'll see higher temps, especially in the sensor in the DPF where I frequently hit 1200°

Thanks, is the 900-950 for EGT1? I just ordered a 2013, so I'm waiting for my truck and reading all I can.

I have an old 96 7.3 that's tuned so I'm used to watching my EGT's and 1200 was the max for it.

Yes. But just watch what you normally see. I can't say that I've I've kept a log. Just what I remember seeing.

The hottest temps will be from EGT14 during Regen. You can see 1200 maybe even 1300 during regen from that sensor in the DPF>

Too bad there is not a way to get more information displayed in the digital center cluster. It seems to want to tell me everything else... I am really only interested in %soot and EGT. An advanced mode or something like that would be real cool. Along the same lines the Nav systems have a GPS but you are still limited on speedometer settings. You would think they could set up an auto calibrate.

Off to install the Epic door mods, After a half a day in the service dept the wind noise is still there.

Later,
Dave
