Edge insight CTS mount

I am looking at getting a insight CTS monitor and noticed that the website does not offer a dash pod / mount for the 2011 and 2012 6.7 yet. I called the company sales dept and they said they hope to offer one soon. I want a clean look and really dont like the suction cup option. I was wondering that you guys using and looking for ideas. Thanks in advance

Suction cup lower left is no problem at all. Rotate the suction cup mount and makes it mount very low on windshield. I won't ever require a different mount.

I called Edge and they told me the dash pod for the 2010 fits the 2011/2012 with only a slight modification to two tabs. I bought the dash pod and the CTS adapter, followed the instructions and everything works and looks good. I use a dash cover here in sunny AZ and it covers the dash pod body so the unit looks really good.

Here's a quick picture of the Edge dashpod w/the Insight CTS. CTS models require dashod adapter, sold separately.

Thanks for posting the picture; what are the white labels on the bottom of your Insight and the left side? (least ways it looks like you have labels)

Thanks,

Bob

On edit, amazing I could read them when I supersized your photo. Good idea.

This mount looks great, thanks for posting the pic. Regarding fitment, I have those speakers (tweeters?) that are fixed to the door in that area. I'm not sure if all the superduty's have it and it kind of looks like you have them as well. If so, just curious if you had any issues with that speaker bumping up against the Insight mounted in this location?

Thanks.

I labeled my Edge Insight and noted on the front that the unit is for "Gauges Only" "No programming". I don't intend to take the unit out when I take it to the dealer for service. The Insight unit has no programming so there should be no question from Ford about me tweaking the computer.
I wanted to be upfront with my Ford dealer or any Ford dealer who works on my truck, if something happens while on the road (where I hope to be more often very soon).

jlalanus - no issues with the dash pod fitting against the door. No sign of any rubbing or close tolerances so far.

I used the pod from my 2008 F-350 that I had with the original insight. I had to trim the tabs off that slipped into the seams in the dash and used some 3M emblem tape to stick the pod to the dash. Is working grear even in the 102+ days we are having here in Louisiana.

I recently traded my old 6.0 for a new 6.7. I ordered the dash pod for my CTS and the adapter. I am wondering did you guys trim both tabs off? Mine seems to fit with both tabs, although the tab on the left back seems to be tight against the pillar. Just wondering if I should trim it off or leave it.
