Not starting, need help!

I posted awhile back about changing out the lift pump. Got it swapped out, but not getting fuel to the filter. When I pulled the line to the lift pump, fuel came out. Can I assume that fuel is getting to the lift pump? I filled the filter and will start and run for 30 seconds and then die, pull the filter and empty. The tank is about 3/4 full, so should not be the pick up tube in the tank. Any ideas or suggestions?

connect a short hose to your lift pump and,dip the other end into a jug of diesel (in place of the fuel tank) if your truck (fills your filter) runs, then you know the issue is fuel line/FSV/tank related.if the filter still doesn't fill up from turning the engine over, then you know the lift pump is faulty.

when you put the lift pump in, did you put the actuator arm over or under the cam?
to properly install the lift pump, you need to stick in in with the arm tilted down a bit, then fit the pump to the block. if installed properly, you should feel a little resistance on the pump from the arm pushing up on the cam before bolting it in.

I took FORD F250's advice and connected a short piece of hose to a jug of diesel and runs perfect. With that said, I know it has something to do from the tank to the lift pump. I put air to the hard line that goes to the tank and heard it in the tank, so wouldn't think the line is plugged. Tried running it off both tanks and both are both over a half full. Now what do you suggest? Thanks again.

plug the line that goes to the fuel pump.
pressurize the fuel tank 1-2 psi. look for leaks in the fuel lines. once you find the fuel leak, you will find where it is sucking air.
