Hello - My CC has not worked in my 2000 F250 since purchase a couple of months ago. I replaced the sending unit on the master cylinder because it was leaking oil. No change. I initiated the self-test diagnostic and got one flash indicating the diagnostic mode started and one flash after pressing the "On" button. No other flashes occurred. Can I assume it's a bad switch? Thanks for any help.
The CC is working I replaced the brake cut-out switch and did the CC diagnostics without a road test between procedures. FYI - if your CC is not working, replace the brake cut-out switch first. I'm still wondering why the diagnostic test was weird? Anyway, it works.
I replaced the sensor on the master cylinder. I believe it is the sensor that kills the CC when the brakes are applied. The sensor appeared to be leaking. It was a 20 dollar part and took a couple of minutes to RR.
