Cranked the truck and it ran for bout 10 seconds and died... No start after that. Noil oil in the HPOP reservoir either.

Could the LPOP have just gone south? Ran fine last night pulling the race car to the track and back... I'm stumped. Short of the pickup falling off right after I cranked it what else could it be?

Isn't there some sort of checkball or screen in the HPOP? Could that be suspect, if it even exists...?


And yes, it has oil in it. Been cranking on it with the battery charger for about 30 minutes and it won't light off. Fuel pump works, etc... Just doesn't have oil in the HPOP!

 

Either the LPOP is out or the IPR is stuck open.

 

Sounds like a dead LPOP, however you might pick up a gauge just to check.

 

did you try filling the hpop and try to start it ? just take the plug off the top and add oil. should be about an inch from the top. Im sure you know that..

Probably LPOP if it is bone dry. Try cranking carefully with the fill plug off and see.
