project almost complete
ok my idiT swap is pretty much done...cpl problems i am having....the abs light stays on all the time...there is a gold color box under the dash....i unplugged it and the light went off, is the abs the only thing this box controlls, everything else seems to function fine...i am putting a pic of it up...not a good one...and there is a little vacuum controller that is a mystery on the passenger side fenderwell. ithere is a pic of it too...can anyone tell me anything about either of these 2 items

That looks like the low vacuum switch.
It should light up the brake warning light on the dash if the vacuum pump fails, or there is a big vacuum leak.
The vacuum manifold is usually mounted on the firewall close to the heater box, though it may have been moved for the factory turbo trucks

might as well do the 3" exhaust elbow and DP upgrade..... no reason not to, this is the perfect time.

cus that's about what i see just running empty on small grades.i don't peak 9.5-10ish until im loaded up going up a good hill with some rpms.that or running up a mountain empty, that'll do it too.
so just be careful.that boost gauge changes real quick when you hook up to something or climb a real hill.
set 'er up so you hit 10 lbs easy when empty, then your EGT's can get quickly out of hand when working the truck (if you do) without an intercooler anyway.
