Well...trans was acting funny yesterday so I pulled codes and got the 1768 EPC solenoid code....After asking Mark K. what he thought and confirming the code again this morning, I decided to clean all connections with contact cleaner and re- connect them. On the Transmission connector there was this green crap which I took for corrosion on both ends...Put everything back and now it won't even move hardly , like TC is slipping , and I have to shift it manually in 1 or 2 to get it to move....Also getting no codes now ....Maybe I broke something removing the trans connector as It was a little hard to remove ..... I was wondering if anyone had replaced the solenoid pack themselves an if this is something I can do in the driveway ....or do i need to get RAPED by the Transmission guy.....Anybody have any thoughts / experience ?
Excellent ! thanks for the link...I was looking at it along with the Factory Manual I have and it does not say whether I can just remove the solenoid pack ..I would like not to touch the Valve body if possible.... thanks
The solenoid pack isn't even close to the value body. I lowered it down in my driveway trying to do a mod that TJ was doing. It went very badly, the mod, not the pulling of the solenoid.
