Auto Ingenuity updater problem.
Every time I try to use my Auto Ingenuity Scan Tool get a up date required box now. Can't even use the thing. How do you turn this up date thing off? I need to use the tool for a problem. Thanks for any help, PK.

What version? I'm on 9.1.1 and no update message. It tends to lose the validation codes for the extended Ford programming, and it's a PITA to re-key, but when I do, it works. There may be a "time-bomb" based on the date; if it's really old, it may force you to update. For the time being, if it's on a stand-alone laptop, you could try changing the system date to some date a couple years in the past.

It's a 8.1 version bought in August of 2010 running on a Thinkpad with XP. This is my shop computer and is used for scan and diagnostics only. The clock battery did die and I have to reset the date and time on every start up. PK

I found that I needed to upgrade my connector firmware to 31. When I did that it worked. The folks at AE Support got right back to me with help. I had upgraded to Version 9.1.1 and somehow didn't do the connector upgrade. PK
