To tune or not to tune?
#46
Why would you be considering to do that? If it's not broke, why go in there and run the risk of tearing something up?
If you are wanting to do something (tuner, injectors whatever) or if it's broke then go in there and deal with it, but if the truck has served your purpose now, invest the money, hopefully earn some "mailbox money" and have that for a rainy day.
Either half-assed or cheap or a combination of both.
bismic had it right with the Russian roulette analogy.

30 years ago I worked in a machine shop building engines and head gaskets were a one time thing. You installed them torqued em down and that was it, Once heated up and baked on you didn't screw with them again and retourquing them again after initial install was forbidin!!
Now alot has changed in 30 years as far as materials used for head gaskets including asbestos ect. But I was surprised that guys are studding with original head gaskets. If it was a proven practice I think it would be a nice upgrade without a major pain in the *** job to get them in!
Oh well can't win em all, again great analogy with the survivor of the russian roulette recommending gettin in with the gambling.LMAO..........................
