Does the 7.3 run as good on a 180

Debateable I think. Mine had a 180 in it and when I changed water pumps I put a 195 in it. I noticed no difference besides the temp gauge was a little higher. There has been lots of talk about it, just like what was said earlier in this thread.

I think mine runs better with the 203 degree thermostat, but that could definitely be the placebo effect, or the minimal torque gain I have due to having no fan on right now.

I think it was Glenn. I had never changed it and I've owned it since 2000. Actually iirc, it had 182 marked on it.

I know I've read somewhere that a 6.0 fan will fit in out trucks. Does it require any modding? I'd like to lose some of the weight on the water pump but can't think it reasonable to be without something on there in south central texas.

Remember if you have a 180 T-stat you need to get your tuning adjusted for it.

Most tuners dont bring in the power till 180°

I'm going to get rid of my 203, don't know if the 180 or 195 will go in??
