Hello i have a 2003.25 f350 6.0 i bought it 3 months ago now it wont start. The whole story i had with it is i changed the oil using 15-40w and oil filter and cap all motorcraft parts.Drove fine for 3 weeks no problem. Then i drove the truck maybe 4 miles turned it off then turned it back on, for maybe 10 seconds the engine was running oil pressure dummy gauge wasnt reading anything, then i pressed the accelerator a little pressure went up to normal on the gauge the truck stuttered then died. Then had it towed home. I unplugged the icp sensor to see if it would default and start but no luck. So my scan tool read the ICP sensor was .24v and 44 PSI with KOEO.The ipr also calculated 14 something percent. When I cranked the engine ICP Stayed at 44 psi and .24v. The Ipr went up to 80%. I Also saw the fuel pulse width was at 0 when cranking as well. All FICM Powers Were Normal 48v. So doing some research online alot of people were saying its the hpop i tore the motor apart got the hpop out today. So i ohms tested the ipr and it would jump around and stop at .06ohm so im guessing the ipr is bad as well.Which doesnt make sense cause it seems to be calculating the percentage correctly when i look at it on my scan tool.I just wanna see what guys have to say about my problem and what i can do to test my hpop and anything else, I've been reading about people having the similar problem im having and replacing there hpop and icp and ipr with still a no start.I just dont wanna throw out that much dough that quick for a pump.
-thanks

I am a little confused. These are two separate systems. Oil from the low pressure side bleeds off through the bottom of the oil cooler to supply oil for the HPOP. If you didn't have low side pressure then your High pressure side will eventually deplete its supply reservoir. No Oil no Ignition.
I would do some more testing before condeming a BAD HPOP
Unless the BB Blew out on the HPOP itself. Is the BB in the HPOP???????
What does the IPR Screen look like any Damage such as Holes or pushed in screen??
I dont think you can say IPR is Good Or Bad from an Ohm reading
The PCM wont turn inject on till ICP at .85volt or 600 or so ICP psi
Are you 110% shure the Oil filter CAP is OEM
If your talking about the ball bearing on the side of the hpop then no its not blown out.The ipr looks fine the screen is in tack. Also i found out that hpop is remanufactured in 2010 so its only 2 years old.Yes i bought the oil filter cap and filter from ford.

Why do i feel like i just pulled the hpop for nothing lol.Im gonna go pull the oil cooler and see if there is any oil in the reservoir.
Sry big guy sounds like you are going down the right track. The low pressure oil pump has a pressure regulator and eventually can wear out. A previous post today stated it is fairly easy to change and FORD cost is about 30 dollars.
ya i know i dont wanna keep tearing it apart for the hpop. Im pretty sure my hpop is bad also anyways. I put the hpop back in engine then blew air on top of the discharge line i didnt hear any leaks from the oil rails in the heads. But when i stuck my hand in the puddle of oil below the pump there was brass shavings from something and i could also see shavings on the hpop gear too. This is a remanufactured hpop so i think im gonna go with a adrenaline or some sort of aftermarket pump anways. Reading online people were saying the stock ones have alot of orings problems and apparently the aftermarket ones address these problems and you almost never have a problem with them.Im also gonna open up the oil pressure reg. and replace that for 30 bucks thats a easy fix whether its good or bad. Thanks for all your guys input.
If your HPOP is shearing metal then theres a Good chance Injectors will start to Fail
Thats to Bad metal shavings from the HPOP is the Last thing you wanted to find
That type of failure is similair to the problems the 6.4 & 6.7L are seeing (only those are HPFP Relaited) and and when this happens most of the time you need a Pump and all new injectors
