Road Trip

So I live in Harrisonburg, Virginia, I'm going to pick up a buddy in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.

I have another vehicle I could take but I really love driving my truck and I drive it now about 70miles a day anyways. But its only a 30mins one way to work, whereas this would be about 5 and a half hours one way. With about 700mile round trip.

How long do you think is safe to drive 60-70mph down the Interstate 95% of that 5 and a half hour trip?

I plan on taking some extra coolant and oil just in case as well as the other usual tools but how often would you give the old girl a break?

5 hour trip at 60-70mph, no worries there, Fuel 'er up, and go, and don't stop until she needs fuel again!

But when she does, just make sure to check over things, and you should be good. 5 hours isn't that bad if you ask me

But yes, some basic tools, fluids, aired up spare tire, and you should be fine.

its not uncommon that i drive 5 hours in a day, no big deal. you know what bugs your truck has, so check those as needed and you'll be fine: fluids, tires, etc.
