When I get below half I start sucking air I am wanting to do either the hutch and pre filte second fuel pump and final filter after high pressure pump or just do the air dog the replaces the factory pump ??
Ditto the responses. If you're sucking air, you have to do the Hutch or in-tank mod, or simply keep it filled above the "air line."
As for a pre-pump filter, it's always a good idea. I love my Dahl, and it filters at 2 micron versus the OEM post-pump filter of 10 micron (essentially making the OEM filter pointless). But it isn't "required."
Whether you put in a pre-pump filter or not...make sure to replace the OEM quick-disconnect hoses with fuel line that is cinched-down to prevent air getting into your fuel.
