I recently purchased a V10 2000 Excursion I am gonna be lifting it yet would like to attempt to retain some factory ride as it will be the family toy on the weekends, etc.... I am thinking of doing the V spring off a SuperDuty and then the Icon 4.5 hanger system, and then the Sky Flip kit in the rear with a larger block to level it out... Maybe a mini pak under it?? LOL. Or would I be better off just buying new springs? I have an 8 inch kit on my Superduty just wanted this to ride better.
Has anyone used these kits or have experience with them? I know I will need to do a pitman arm and the pan rod drop kit...
I am running V code springs with the ICON 4.5" hanger in front, mod B code springs with a 6" block in back and bilstien shocks. The ride and handling is great both unloaded and loaded towing over 10000lbs.
I do not know anything about the Sky Flip kit. The downfall I would see is that it would be re-using the weak stock rear spring. Probably ok unless you plan to tow heavy.
I choose this lift to maintain a great ride without compromising the ability to tow heavy.
Do you have any side profile pics of your truck you could post? I guess I could plan to swap the rear springs as well... Do the superdurys raise the back as?
