P0299, EBP, VGT values...deciphering help requested.
My 2005 X threw a P0299 trouble code recently. I was towing my 8,000# travel trailer when the CEL came on. By reading other posts, I generally understand that I may have a sticking VGT solenoid or sticking turbo vanes (I think I got that right).
Anyway, I programmed my SGII to read VGT % and EBP as suggested in another thread. Here are my values, in this order: KOEO, low idle (800 rpm), fast idle (2500 rpm, held by my foot for ~30 seconds, +/- a few RPM):
EBP: 14.6, 16.1, 19.9
VGT: 0, 85, 49
By the way, ECT was 174...not sure if that is too low to get accurate EBP and VGT readings.
Also, the PO installed a 5" exhaust system.
What do these EBP and VGT readings tell me about the cause of the P0299 code? Do I need other data points from the SGII?
Most appreciative for the tips.

My 05 X recently did the same thing while towing our 10.5K trailer into a headwind and I suspected sticking turbo vanes. I took it to my favorite indy mechanic and he advised waiting to see if it recurs. P0299 is for turbo underboost. I was watching boost and it never failed to go right up to limit when climbing a hill. He says P0299 is tripped by combination of multiple readings but suspects EBP sensor may have some issues. I reset the code and it has not recurred yet. Time will tell.
