This was from 79 north @ Route 422 to just outside Buffalo, Ny.

I have found keeping the rpms just under 1500 makes a huge difference, go over 1500 and you are in the upper teens.

I would agree with your posting......I averaged a little over 15 mpg towing my small work trailer on interstate 35.....I traveled almost 500 miles round trip. My truck is stock and I drive it like I stole it......

No Lift, 3.73 ELD, All Stock. 20 in tires. the 1500 rpm limit gets you around 62 63 mph.

I had just filled up at a Pilot station where their pumps list anywhere between B5 and B20. I use Amsoil centane boost and Diesel add. this was with dealer oil. Just had is chaned at 5000 miles.

On another topic. How does one add the signature line?

What truck do you have?

Signature is in the User CP option in the top toolbar, lefthand side.

The 3.73 is only offered with the 6.2L on the F-250.
With 20 inch wheels and the 6.7L, you have the 3.55.

Hummm...you could only have the 3.55 gears for your SD.

Either way...you are getting really good fuel mileage.

Very Happy!

New here, Just got my Ford F-250 SD CC SB 6.7. Stock tires. Oh My God, how I love this truck! It's so much fun to drive! SOOooo quiet, It rides like a dream, even empty. THe last ford truck I had was a 1985 F250 diesel, paid $14,500 for it brand new. Drove it for 248,000 miles and sold it for $3,500. I kept it 15 years.

Bought a 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Gas, piece of crap! kept it though, for 169,000 miles, 12 years, decided at my age that I would bite the bullet one more time, and get another diesel, Just crazy about this truck!

Ok I have 1,500 miles on it, and I'm getting 19.1 MPG, around town driving pretty conservative. I need to, getting ready to start pulling my first RV ever.

Hope the mileage stays close to that, My old gas dodge never got better than 15 MPG.

Looking forward to learning a lot here,

Southerndude

I stand corrected. The gears are 3.55. Sorry about that.
