depends. sky's standard kit is 3", but they offer a 5" kit. If you build one yourself it can be as little or as much as you want, as long as your careful not to screw up your castor. 3-4" is a popular height because it's about as long as you'd want your shackle to be.

92-97 F-250/F-350 Front Shackle Reversal - Sky's Off-road Design
They say they give you 3" or you can get 5"
I've been looking into it too but I will need rear springs or get their rear shackle flip kit too, any more than 6" of blocks in the rear is just wierd

Hey guys,

Sorry to have abandoned this thread. I finally got a hold of this guy, he is supposed to call me later today. I might scrap the axle conversion if I can pick up this other truck I am looking at though. A guy has a 94 cc 350 factory turbo with a blown engine that looks to be in pretty good shape and he is asking 2500. I might offer him 2k and do an engine swap from my 93. I would rather have a crew cab, and it comes with a dana 60 already, and I wont have to swap my Sidewinder that way, which is a PITA! Stay tuned, I can't look at the truck until Saturday at the earliest, but it has been for sale for a little while now.

And IDI guy,

I believe RSK is reverse shackle kit or something along those lines.

Mac.

So I posed some new questions in the beginning of this post, along with some pics. I will probably pick up both axles this week, and forget about the Crew Cab, I don't need any more trucks right now!

Regarding your question how long will it take...I took lift off my truck last month and it took only a few hours....front and rear. If you have a hand, air tools, and beer, the job isn't bad

Mmm.. do love me that air hammer.. yes i do. I did SD springs in the front and built a 2" shackle hanger lift to go with it, rear shackle flip, swapped blocks all without beer in about 6hrs by my onsey... many a F'bomb were flyin

I would alow myself 4-6 hrs, with decent tools / jack and concrete.
