Ford engineers, how difficult is this?

what i find funny (and i'm not picking on anyone in particular) is the fact that people expect to belive the DTE calculation, but completely ignore the onboard AVG MPG.
the two are directly linked.
And i still say that the onboard computer, which calculates each and every injector pulsewidth, has a better idea how much fuel was used than the pump that fills the gas tank.
I do not go by the DTE..... too easy to influence by parking on a hill, and does not recover well if you get it screwed up.... good for a reference, but that's it.
