You didn't see me ticked off and I never said the t-stat would fix the problem. All I said was if my truck ect never got over 190 that I'd change the t-stat at the next scheduled flush. Back at ya bigdaddy.

No worries guys sounds like he has ordered all the parts and all his basis are covered

I am a little Lost why some of you think since the truck runs at 190*ECT that thermostat is BAD

Thats what the thermostat is rated for 190*ECT its MAIN GOAL is to Hold ect at 190*

What makes you think its BAD thermostat

I probably came on a bit strong. Mostly I was trying to say what 69 said in his last post. With a flush and thermostat my truck runs 195-210 so I tend to think anything less leaves room to improve. Maybe I'm the exception but my coolant went from 175 to 195-210 and even the oil went up some the delta dropped to half of what it was. Peace all

Oh oh ,my deltas are 184.00*ect- 201.54 eot "solid" at 5min 2.5k rpm after warmup. I guess the oil cooler is pluged. I am also showing white smoke from the ex pipe. Dang I also have to re-seal the turbo, and I think I have a bad injecter. Not even 3 months and all this. Great, I really LOVE my 6.0!

P.S Ok NO puking from the degas tank and hardly no missing coolant, its a PLUS!

Well just got home with it. 260 miles to where i repaired it 14.9mpg at 70mph. avg eot 246 avg ect 197.

Flushed thoroughly,

Installed new oil cooler, deleted egr cooler, installed sinister coolant filter, replaced egr valve, new thermostat, and put a new serpentine belt on her.

Trip home 22mpg eot 207 ect 200

Turbo is a little noisy but seems to be running good.

We started at 8 am finished at 10pm

Thanks for all the info guys it's greatly appreciated.

yes it is, is the turbo noise just a by product of better air flow? it seemed like it was in pretty good shape.

What do you mean turbo sounds diffrent????

I lost alittle whistle on mine with the EGR deleate but turbo sound didnt change

what Egr deleate was it???

Could be a exhaust leak especialy if the sound is diffrent/louder right at the turbo

another thing to check is the clamps on the CAC Boots they can make noise if slight leak
