Good! I feel less badly about not remembering that stuff. But, it was not remembering it on the final that was the real problem.
I always have to remember most things by application, not memorization. I remember the differences from back in my Nuke years where we used a lot of Ausenitic Stainless Steel due to it's fracture toughness and margin to brittle fracture...and of course it's resistence to corrosion. Charpy V-Notch...remember that one??

That, in a nutshell, was my problem. No labs, no hands-on, just books. I don't learn very well that way. (Ok, I'll say it, I don't learn very well. Full stop.) Yes, v-notch for determining fracture resistance.
