6CD into F350

I found (literally) a factory 6CD in-dash changer in the trunk of my old car. I ran the part number on the back of it and it came out of a 01-03 Mustang Convertible with Mach 460 Sound system. It's got the three plugs on the back, I know one is for the sub. How much of a pain in the butt would it be to install this in my 99 F350. The truck has an aftermarket radio/single CD now, and I haven't taken it out yet to see if the factory harness was cut or an adapter was put in. I found the correct harness (Metra #71-5700). Will the plug for the sub work with any sub or just with a Mach factory one?? I'm definitely not an audio guru person, but I would like to have this 6CD in the truck for road trips. Thanks for any input you guys may have.

In dash multi players are trouble. All brands. I would hook it up OUT of the vehicle and see if it works.

MP3 is the way to go....

+1 on this! Not to bash what you've found or trying to add to another vehicle but generally anything mechanical like a CD changer has too many problems--if not now then soon. I once had a Sony in-dash CD Receiver, added the 12 disc changer even going to far to buy extra magazines too. Used it about three times before getting an MP3 player, soon learned to love the simplicity and ease of use it offers.

All things considered a 16 Gb MP3 player is the better option---get the car batter charger too and you'll never look back!
