Well, looks like another month is drawing to a close. At least I have the truck back together. It has been an interesting project to say the least. Now to drop the 5th wheel on the hitch and take a little trip to "check everything out".
Anyone talked to Jeff lately? He hasn't posted a "word" in his trip thread in almost three weeks.

Well, there have been a couple of nights this past week that I was just happy to be in from the furnace outside.
Will, on your Focus, does it have that 6-speed auto select shift...also knows as the Dual Clutch (DCT)? Ours has been acting strange since about 20 miles after we brought it to the house. This one shutters in 1st and makes a clunk like sound (in the transaxle?) when it shifts into 3rd & 5th. Took it back early last week to the selling dealership; and they assured me that there's nothing wrong with it....or at least the smoke the SA tried to blow at us. Since this is the only DCT that I've been around I don't know if it's a quirk of the tranny or if there really is something wrong with the tranny.
Reminds me of the horror stories with the first PSD...not to mention the 6.0L in the early days.
When in first are you hard on the gas or do you just ease into it? Ours will shudder if you don't get on the pedal. You have to drive it like you stole it! I haven't heard any clunks in ours and it shifts good most all of the time. We did get a recall on the transmission though. They had to reprogram it for hills and such but I can't really tell a difference. So far, after 25k miles, it has been pretty good.
