$37 for 5 liters at autohausaz. spend more than $50, and shipping is free. (I got an extra quart the first time. the second time, I bought extra filters. the 3rd time I bought 2 jugs of the oil)
Yes it is Dustin. And I am tired of dealing with morons at work.

The total mc3 meets vw/audi 505.01, where the 5w-40 does not. Meeting 505.01 is very important on the PD motors, where the fuel pump puts extra stress on the cams, and they need the extra lubrication.
The reason for 5-30 over 5-40 is MPG, and 5-30 has been proven in all climates.

While mine is not a PD motor, I figured it never hurts to have better oil. I use the Mann filters.
I just got Mobil 1 ESP formula M 5W-40. Says it exceeds Mercedes MB 229.51 specs.
Also got a Mann filter. I'll have to call the dealer that used to service it and see what they used. Probably 5-40
Throat is still sore, but I at least have my energy back for the most part. Still took today off work.
Hanging out at Andrew's first baseball game of the season. Back to work tomorrow but the morning will be spent in Eden Prairie talking to a disk storage vendor. We were supposed to go Monday but the strep throat got in the way.
How is everyone here?
Troy ... if the boat actually launches and runs we might have to have a party. How many times have you attempted this now (including announced non-launches).

But does i meet VW specs? (that's like saying this transmission fluid for my powerstroke meets chrysler's spec.)
Reason being, the ones that don't meet the 505.01 tend to do this.
Just getting Desiree's new school laptop setup to our wi-fi. Her school just got MacBook Air's. They are a cool little, light laptop. I am not used to the Mac part though.
Got the new ac put on the camper tonight and then to the lake we went. The boat launch was a complete success this time! Finally time to have some fun. Here a couple pics to prove it was on the lake!
I bet it's a good feeling to have the boat on the water...and running. That's how it will feel I think if I ever get that damn bike together and running.
