Go to autozone... They have bottles of R134 with a hose and a gauge... Read the bottle and its really simple.. Find the low pressure hookup with the vehicle running and ac on and open the valve... the gauge will tell u how charge ur system is...
buy its like 30-50 bucks depending on brand... it should be out front since its summer... u can do it right there at the store... they might even be nice enough to show u...

Im not sure havent done it to my super duty yet... u can plug it up if it leaks or blows off its the high pressure end lol... look for the one that says low pressure...
the gauge started at around 41 psi when i put it on... and only went upto 45 psi. didnt want to go any higher. and that was just in the beginning range of the gauge for the current air temp. feels a little colder...

Theres usually a colored area of the gauge about good bad ok or something like that...
