Morning everyone... Nice after duty shower... Anything going on anywhere... Just got back in the country not too long ago... Still trying to catch up...
Thanks man, yea fortunately when I got back I found out about Goshen Stampede right after I got back and was able to catch that... I never thought that Id see a truck pull, rodeo, and demolition derby in one day in CT lol..
josiah would be jealous, i went out on my neighbors boat yesterday and we caught and kept 4 walleye, 1 crappie, and 1 perch. we must have thrown away about a dozen pickeral, and several sunnies. then we got the wives and brought them out swimming for the afternoon. the water was only 76* so i kept my *** on the boat. then we went back and had a fish fry with all the other neighbors.

That sounds like an awesome day Gator. Welcome home!
Aaron, that sounds like a pretty amazing day as well! Was that your first time having fresh caught walleye? What did you think of fishing? I'm pretty surprised he got you out there. What did you fish with?
we were out on oneida lake, which is about 80 square miles. i didnt feel right being on a body of water that big, with small waves and fresh water. clearly i am from a shoreline town.
i was using his stuff, i dont recall names of anything but he said it was a $30 pole and $40 reel. he had braided line instead of the synthetic single strand, and it was really cool. it had no stretch at all so you couild feel every little nibble, making it super easy to feel the right time to set the hook and start reeling.
worms for bait, on a simple lure made of a few colored beads and one flashy fluttering metal tab.
