You probably right in the Driver side a POS

I have heard you can take the cover off the A/C Box and dont mess with any Freon removal and Vac and add freeon when done
Let me know how this Goes^^^^ I know alot of guys just unhook the A/C Lines and refill the a/c system when done

But the A/C system Needs a VAC Prior to recharge to get that GOOD Cold A/C

So think about that but I swear someone said just that outer cover of the A/C box needs removed and you can leave the lines hooked up what would be the best.

Hope I didnt bring this up too late

I havent Had the Heads out my 6.0L Yet probably should of Last go around as I was really close doing that Oil cooler work
I'm doing my studs one at a time

re: A/C cover removal
I have seen that you can remove the small cover on the A/C
evaporator box to get more room to do the work on the passenger
side on the motor. I'll try to get a photos of the screws to remove to
take that cover off
I looked for it and could not find it in my stuff.

When I do these studs when I replace them one by one should I replace them all and only torque to 80 then 185 then 240? Or since I'm
Doing them one by one go to final?

If you already have the new oil cooler in your possession, instructions on how to separate the oil cooler from the oil cooler cover are in the new box. It will take you step by step on disassembly of the old cooler and reassembly of the new one.

Do you have the two bolts that hold the oil cooler to the cover on bottom? There are two 13mm nuts on top you remove and two 13mm bolts on the bottom.

Set the oil cooler onto two 4x4 blocks of wood to where the each sides of the cover rests on your blocks with the oil cooler up off the ground and use a hammer with a 21mm socket. Place the socket on one of the coolant passage holes of the oil cooler and give the socket a few good whacks. Be sure to not damage the cover.

This is for everyone. Sorry I could not get better photos
I did not want to pull any parts off. From the photos in this
link you can get an idea where to look for the other screws
