cab conversion on 77 f350

Hi guys i'm new to this site,but this place is cool.My question might be a dumb one but here goes,I have a 1977 f350 rollback whos cab has rotted really bad,and i'm in a position to buy a 1984 f150 for under $150.Can I do a conversion of these two bodies without alot of modifications or should I just find an older cab and be done with it. Thanks for any help!!!

I think the cab mounts should line up, you might need to relocate them. IMHO finding a 73-79 cab would be your best option. But then again I'm saying this because I like the looks of a 3-9 better than early 80's Probably just have to get out the old tape measure

i would have to agree with 79_250 on trying to find a 73-79 cab they look better in my opinon. But if you dont care then i think the 80's cabs will fit. i have seen a 76 fighboy with an 85 body on it. It is a matter of personal prefferance i guess.
