I just came back from Canadian Tire and they dont have half the fuses I need. I think my cigarette lighter/dome light not working is just to coincidental for it not to be the fuse. I am missing a fuse altogether from the fuse block (its a 15AMP the markings dont make sense to me)
Anyway anyone know (preferably canadian) where I can get maybe a box of various tube fuses so that I will have every size for my truck? I am getting sick of this lack of product at crappy tire!
Where to buy these? I went to automotive warehouse they gave me smaller 15amp ones then CT had, but still not small enough. The one they gave me fit into the spot where another 15amp one was residing that had some "play" so I fit in the new one their and moved that one to where I was missing one.
Low and behold I had a working dome light ;-0
Now I am treating myself to a new dome light cover and FTE t-shirt from online store.
There is no easy way to put it, but fuses for these old Ford trucks are indeed hard to find. I have checked at local stores and many of the fuses they have never heard of. I know, its not very reassuring, but its the sad truth. Have you tried a junkyard, or possibly thought about retro-fitting the fuse box? Just an idea.
I noticed that the ones i do find are cheaper then the new fuses. heh.
They have the "fuses" but they just dont have the right size, the 15amp ones are all way to long. I could goto a junk yard but I would prefer to use new ones. I like to do stuff right.
I'd buy a box of fuses of all sizes for my truck if I could find one ;/
