Integrated TCB info?
Hey all,
If anyone has it, I would love a bit of info on the integrated trailer brake controller on the SDs. Mine is an 08 PSD, and I bought a car hauler I am hooking up. Running, brake, and turns all work well, but electric brakes, not so much.
I have NOT rewired them, or even know if they work, and that is OK.
My question is does the pin on the female plug show voltage at the plug if my kid slides the manual switch? I cannot get anything on my test light, but have not actually got the voltmeter yet either.
When I hook the trailer up, the green and red trailer lights light like they are in check mode, but the trailer light goes out. Does this only sense a trailer if the brakes are good? If a trailer is hooked up that has a issue with the brakes, will the controller stop voltage from flowing?
I guess I am not that versed in the "smart" controller, and just don't know exactly what to expect from it.
No problem on the trailer brakes needing work, but the lack of voltage on the manual slide had me wondering.
