Trailer Brakes

Hey Guys I have a 2008 F250 V10 that is new to me had it about a month. Hooked up to my first big trailer which is a 20ft enclosed cooking trailer very heavy. Lights worked and pulled great but my trailer brake control was flashing 6.5 and on my dash it read trailer disconnect. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe check and see if there is any corrosion in the plug on the trailer? Maybe the spade for the brakes on the trailer side of the plug has some corrosion and its not getting a good connection.

Check with the controller manual. Flashing light usually means short in trailer brakes and controller cutting off the service.
