Overhead Console Compass Reading Wrong Direction

In this specific case, ONLY my compass is effected... hence, the reason I chimed in to see what the original poster had to offer or what fixed their problem.

depends on if you are above, or below the equator.
compass? i have a gps in my stereo/nav, one in my
iphone, one in my ipad, one in my viper car alarm,
one in my banks IQ, and two apps for compasses,
in the iphone and ipad.
my van can call my iphone, and tell it where it is,
and what direction and speed it's going.
and i have breadcrumbs to drop to find my way back,
and a blind dog with a note in it's mouth to lead me
home if i get lost.
i'm covered. maybe i should demagnetize the dogs
collar, just to be safe.

I know that's not the problem with my o-head console... as, I've fixed mine once before (due to complete display being dim).
In this specific case, ONLY my compass is effected... hence, the reason I chimed in to see what the original poster had to offer or what fixed their problem.

Tried ALL of the above steps and the compass continued to malfunction. $22.00 is an excellent price for the repair, and it now has a warranty if future problems should arise.
