Does anyone have a good picture of the external UVCH connector - the one outside the valve cover? My connectors and the locking pieces are separated and it doesn't seem like they should be.

 

The top of this photo is the only one I have. (BTW, my engine is much cleaner now.)

 

When you disconnect it from the valve cover gasket, does the little slider piece come off as a separate piece, or does it stay on the connector under the tab? It looks to me like it should be under the tab, but before I go about doing that (and risk breaking the thing), I want to be sure.
