I have a 94 F-Super duty (F-450) that runs rough when the check engine light comes on and then runs right once the light turns off. I found out that my injector wire (#7) under the valve cover was burnt and both connectors on the valve cover were also burnt. The connector to the engine is also burnt. I already purchased the connector under the valve cover and the valve cover gasket but I need the connector that goes to the engine harness. Ford wants over $400 for that connector because I have to buy the whole engine harness. Does anyone know where I can just get the connector to splice into the original harness?
Are you referring to the two-wire harness that is held in place by the metal bail wire? If so, International can supply you with the proper connector. You'll have to contact your local supplier to get the part. I had to replace one a few weeks ago, but I can't recall the part number or price of it.
I'm talking about the connector that is outside of the valve cover that goes to the engine harness. I already have the injector harness and valve cover gasket.
I called my local International dealer and they said the connector for the engine harness was a Ford item. The guy may of not know what he was talking about.
