Need some help...
Does a 1990 f-150 4.9 have a oxygen sensor? I see it listed under websites.
I have a threaded hole inbetween the 2 pipes just before the 1st cat. It looks like a oxygen sensor that goes there.
Any ideas where they place the sensor if it has one?

Would think it should have at least 1, maybe 2. I know my feedback carb'd 85 has one, don't know if the EFI motor had 1 or 2.

Efi 300/4.9 motor through 1995 has one oxygen sensor in the downpipe prior to the convertors. Sounds like yours is missing. $40-60 at your local auto parts retailer. There will be an electrical plug nearby to connect it.

Thanks. So I checked everywhere for the connector and cannot find it at all. Check under the vehicle everywhere and behind the motor but no avail.
When does the wires foe the sensor go to? I have a few connectors that are not connected but they are no where near the exhaust
